Zine Centro is a collaboration between Centro Romero and 826CHI which features writings and drawings by Latino youth from the Northeast side of Chicago.

Comic poems by Ron Offen with comic drawings by William Anthony. Tends toward dark, mordant humor with some social criticism.

After eating homemade pancakes, Big Draw Chicago participants joined a panel of comix artists and zinesters who guided them to create original works on paper. Double issue (back-to-back) focused on drawings of owls and of a ravenous rainbow monster.

"The Read/Write Library and Big Draw Chicago are partnering for a one day program on October 6, 2013. Artists Sara Drake, Brook Golden, and Caroline Picard will talk about their style and process. After the discussion youth and artists will have the opportunity to draw together and create a short comic of their own."
