The evening will be a celebration of fiction, poetry, and all things library!
We're hosted by Read / Write Library in Humboldt Park. Claiming a Body will also be a part of Read/Write's Hungry for Stories Book Club--"a book club about the Chicago point of view, as constructed (and demolished) by some of the city’s most divergent writers, artists, editors and publishers."
Amanda Marbais’s fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Hobart, Fugue, Joyland and elsewhere. She was featured in Electric Literature’s Recommended Reading series and in the New York Times Book Review. Her debut short story collection Claiming a Body won the 2018 Moon City Short Fiction Award.
