Join members of the Black & Pink family for a discussion about the direct impact that controlling communication has had on their lives, from pretrial to during incarceration and post release. This event will take place as a conversation around the dinner table.

Black & Pink is an open family of LGBTQ prisoners and “free world” allies who support each other. Our work toward the abolition of the prison industrial complex is rooted in the experience of currently and formerly incarcerated people. We are outraged by the specific violence of the prison industrial complex against LGBTQ people, and respond through advocacy, education, direct service, and organizing.

This dinner and conversation is presented as part of "Information Wants to Be Free & So Do We" Read/Write Library Chicago's Pop Up Library on Communication, Control & Mass Incarceration at Justice Hotel at 6018 North .
