Date:
2004
Volume:
unknown
Abstract:

From the project's website: A ravioli is a FREE, clear, water-proof, 12"x12" plastic packetfilled with original artworks and random materials submitted by contributors and artistsfrom all over the country. Any given ravioli contains an assortment of items or ingredients, ranging in media, intent, content, production level, and relation to one another. Items included may be practical, attempt to engage the participant in an activity or thought process, or may simply intend to amuse.

The project brings together a range of items, artistic and non-artistic, from a range of sources, and puts all the materials back out in public without definitions, restrictions or explanation. There is no right answer. There is no wrong action. A passer-by may choose to view the packet as garbage and throw it away. She might open it and pick out things that interest her. She might take the whole thing home with her to show her family or her friends.

There is no hidden agenda. There is no theme. There is no expected outcome.

Contains CD.
