This is a story about three cats and is written by the young author Thayss Lopez as a part of the World Read Aloud Day 2012 in conjunction with the non-profit writing and tutoring center 826CHI publication.

"The Zine Kids Go To Copy-Town" is a story about two authors who rush to create a zine in time for Chicago's Zine Fest, written in the style of a Choose Your Own Adventure novel.

"Euphony is a non-profit literary journal produced biannually at the University of Chicago. We are dedicated to publishing the finest work by writers and artists both accomplished and aspiring. We review a variety of works including poetry, fiction, drama, essays, criticism, and translations."

Threshold is an annual literary magazine published by DePaul University. Contributors to the magazine are DePaul faculty, students, and staff.

Each issue of the zine is created by 7th and 8th grade middle school students in the Chicago area and features both prose and poetry. This issue (and its two predecessors) was a collaborative class project and includes pieces on memories, dreams, goals, and friendship.

"Two young men from an apexed Human society in the distant future are sent back in time to the 21st Century to catalyze a leap in Human evolution. When a mutated 'visitor' form this Altered Future is sent back on behalf of his people to formally thank them, the events that follow and the things they learn about this new future of 'higher cultural potential' convince one of the men that their Mission will be a success, and the other that it will be a failure."

Another Chicago Magazine is a literary magazine that publishes work by both new and established writers. We look for work that goes beyond the artistic and academic to include and address the larger world.
