" The drawing featured in this volume were chosen from approxiamateley 350 pen and ink renderings of objects from the collections of artist Ellen Lanyon thst she completed between 2001 and 2003. in visits to New York between 2003 and 2005, Lynne Warren had the pleasure of viewing the collections and objects within them and responded with eleven verses. Thus Ballary Marvels came about. Ellen Lanyon is a distinguished painter and graphic artist with deep roots in both New York and Chicago. Lynne Warren is a long-time curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago."
