Michael Tropea

Exhibition book for a show of paintings by Chicago/New York artist Ellen Lanyon at Valerie Carberry Gallery, April 29-July 2, 2005. Lanyon's 1960s paintings are distinctive for being based on photographs, contradicting the abstract expressionist movement of the post-WWII era. Introductory essay is by art historian Franz Schulze.
