A collection of paintings by artist Andy Paczos, dealing largely with urban and industrial landscapes.

Catalog for an exhibition of works by German-born painter Paul Kelpe at the Valerie Carberry Gallery, Sept. 8-Oct. 27, 2007. Kelpe, devoted to geometric abstract painting, was resident in Chicago during 1925-26 and 1931-35. The seventeen works in the exhibition are mainly oil and watercolor. Includes interpretive essay by art history professor Susan Weininger of Roosevelt University.

Exhibition book for a showing of works by Kerry James Marshall at the Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago, May 6-June 28, 1998. Marshall works in the genre of history painting, seeking to "reread the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement and the whole of African-American history in relation to a very complex present" (Acknowledgements). The exhibit also included prints, sculpture, and video. Includes intepretive essays by Cheryl I. Harris and Richard J. Powell, with extracts from the writings of Will Alexander.

Exhibition book for a show of paintings by Chicago/New York artist Ellen Lanyon at Valerie Carberry Gallery, April 29-July 2, 2005. Lanyon's 1960s paintings are distinctive for being based on photographs, contradicting the abstract expressionist movement of the post-WWII era. Introductory essay is by art historian Franz Schulze.

Westermann," curated by Michael Rooks and on display at The Contemporary Museum, Honolulu, Montclair Art Museum, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts, Stanford University. "'Dreaming of a Speech Without Words: The Paintings and Early Objects of H.C. Westerman' attempts to shed light on the artist's early enthusiasm for painting and the implications this had for his development as a mature student who had already reached his 30s at the close of his years at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago." (p. 14).
