Abstract:
Zoernig's project is quite simple. It consists of three components; the walls on the floor of the gallery, the blue corridor, and a monitor playing a videotape he executed here in Chicago. In a very direct manner, Zobernig has reversed the relationship between the illusory and the real by using the walls just outside the gallery to create illusion and by denying this function to walls within the gallery.
