Teenagers

Fiction about a found letter in a small town that ends up exonerating an African American family member who left town years before for an uncalled for unjustice.

Each issue of the zine is created by 7th and 8th grade middle school students in the Chicago area and features both prose and poetry. This issue (and its two predecessors) was a collaborative class project and includes pieces on memories, dreams, goals, and friendship.

A zine created by teenagers who participated in the I Was a Teenage Zine Fiend workshop at 826CHI.

Booklet produced in the Summer 2003 photojournalism workshop held by the East Village Youth Program in partnership with Young Chicago Authors. Includes neighbor interviews, photographs, a book review, and an interview with a professional photojournalist.
