Abstract: 
Lockhaven is under siege. The home of the Mouse Guard has been assaulted by many a predator, but rarely has it stood in opposition to mice. Rand, the defense expert of the Guard's home, received just enough warning from Sadie to seal the gates and secure the fortress before it came under treasonous attack. Saxon & Kenzie, along with the oldfur Celanawe, also unable to get into Lockhaven, are forced to hide in the low maples to the east and watch their beloved home betrayed.
