Zine (z)

This zine is a reprint of the 1975 publication Consciousness Raising Guidelines, a handbook for women wishing to start a consciousness raising (CR) group during the second-wave feminist movement in the late 1960s and 70s. The authors also contribute modern-day commentary on the utility of these groups today and challenge readers to expand their understanding of CR beyond the typical White feminist framework it has usually been characterized by.

This was a publication produced as part of the Juvenile Justice series published by the Hull House Museum in Chicago in partnership with the Chicago Freedom School. It seeks to educate about the particular violences faced by young women and girls as the hands of the Illinois juvenile justice system.

Things That Matter. Three /Explorers Are We is a dual zine by two different authors. Things That Matter. Three is a series of comics and essays, while Explorers Are We is a collection of poetry.

The Adventure School for Ladies is an occasional, experimental graduate program that explores gender, cultural production, political engagement, and economic matters with the top ladylike scholars in the field of adventure studies.

Gravy is an arts-focused zine addressing issues in the arts including photography, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, film, and others. The zine also features reviews and criticism on arts events and openings in Chicago and elsewhere.
