"In These Times" is a magazine dedicated to exploring the social justice, political issues, and current events that the United States faces these days. Published in Chicago, the magazine's articles are written by staff, that explore issues facing all U.S. citizens. In this issue, genetically engineered food, Honduras, indigenous land, environmentalism, poaching, elk, Northern Ireland, Battle in Seattle, World Trade Organization, anarchists are all discussed in this issue.

This issue focuses on issues surrounding organized labor.

In These Times is an alternative newsmagazine published 26 times a year by the Institute for Public Affairs in Chicago. ITT is a member of the Alternative Press Syndicate.

This year-end double issue focuses on the coming presidency of George W. Bush, including questions about disenfranchisement of African Americans in the 2000 Presidential Elections, the Bush Cabinet, and the Supreme Court. Other features include a look at the failing peace process in Columbia and new president of Syria, Assad Bashar.
