Youth Stories is a zine documenting Elgin Smith's experiences teaching visual arts at The Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center.

A split zine with the first half being about the author's experiences living in her childhood home. The second half, in the words of the author- "Lake Effect is about experiences with violence-physical and emotional- and how these experiences shape the way I understand myself and interact with the world."
