An anthology by the participants of the Friday morning writer's workshop at Chicago Public Library's Budlong Woods Branch. Each poem, essay, and story carry with it the mantra, "every person is a poet and philosopher."

A profile on the life of Malachi Ritscher, a prolific audio recorder of the Chicago jazz scene from the early 1990s to 2006. The profile was written in response to an invitation by the 2014 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art. In writing about Mr. Ritscher, who died in November 2006, the author wants to "share something that the public may not know exists and to see the museum lend authority and importance to a life and a creative practice that probably would not receive museum consideration..."

This zine is a collection of quiet photos taken in the nighttime. Often featuring close-up shots and an unnamed woman in different interiors and locations around Chicago (a Pilsen storefront's awning can be spotted), the photographer unveils a hushed world in contrast to the bustling urban landscape.

"If you ever go through a break up, and you are feeling depressed, just look through 'Food Boys,' find the description of the boy you just broke up with, and eat that food to make you feel better." In this zine, the authors ask the reader to confront their heartache headfirst, without averting its gaze. With its sixteen paradigms of boys in the guise of food (such as pizza, posole, snow cones, gummy bears), Food Boys provides the recently heartbroken a pathway to feeling better: eat your feelings.
