Abstract:
Laura Creeve's anthology of 31 short stories came out of a desire to prove to herself that all that is required to claim the title "writer" is to write. Each story is 310 words or less.
In this short fiction piece, Marcel is affectionate, has blue eyes, can play music using a blade of grass, and was created in a lab by Jack Spent. As Marcel grows up from a cell specimen to a five-inch tall figure, Spent learns that, regardless of how a life is made, its beauty nonetheless can be observed.
